Hotel Barriere Le Normandy, Deauville

The hotel is ideally located by the sea front, perfect for those who enjoy the beach and want to be near the city center. The rooms are nice, although a bit small in some areas, and the decor, albeit slightly old-fashioned, adds character to the stay. The dining experience is satisfactory but can get a little hectic during busy times. The service is exceptional, with staff going above and beyond to ensure a pleasant stay.

The hotel offers surprisingly large and well-equipped rooms but was slightly let down by some out-of-action facilities. The service was excellent and very helpful throughout my stay, albeit with compulsory mask requirements. The location is wonderful, right in the heart of Deauville, making it convenient for exploring the town center and the beach. The dining experience was good with a variety of options available, although the absence of tablecloths was noticed. Overall, a pleasant stay with a few minor setbacks.

The hotel room was on the pricier side for being small off-season with a king bed. However, it was well-equipped, offering a nice view of the sea. The lack of value was evident with internet not included, absence of a hotel directory, and a bathroom comparable to a 3-star without proper shower amenities. Despite these drawbacks, the staff was exceptionally helpful and friendly, especially Fred at the bar. The location was superb, centrally positioned near the sea and main streets, making it convenient for exploring the town and beach. The dining experience was a bit chaotic, with insufficient staff during peak hours. The facilities overall were adequate.
